Calm Club - Yoga Deck

I am honored to be part of the Yoga Deck for the Calm Club range.

Calm club believes in the restorative power of mindful activity and have created a range of relaxation and mindfulness products. They are designed to offer you the chance to unplug, unwind and switch off.

All products are Earth kind- the aim is to source products and packaging responsibly and use natural and recycled materials wherever possible.

Calm Club is dedicated to helping charities and community projects which make a real difference to peoples lives at a grass roots level. Currently, Calm club’s financial support goes to The Avenues Youth Project, which is local to my home studio, Rise Yoga Space in West London. 

The Avenues was established in 1979 to provide facilities, assistance and support to young people living in challenging circumstances. £0.10 GBP from every Calm Club product sold is donated to this very worthy cause.

Yoga Balm

I am super passionate about giving a good Savasana assist to aide relaxation and recovery. I make my own Yoga Balm to make the experience extra special. All ingredients are fair trade.

Little Orange Beau Lay Tea 普洱茶

Beau Lay is an aged, vintage tea. It is produced in the Yunnan province in China, and similarly to wine, becomes finer with age.

Yunnan translates as 'south of the cloudy peak mountains', a fitting description of this moist, mild and mountainous region, where conditions are ideal for growing tea.

The tea is picked, processed and partially fired allowing the leaves to retain some moisture, and compressed into cakes before maturing for between 3 and 10 years, in special underground rooms or caves.  

Little oranges are hollowed out and filled with Beau Lay then left to age and dry. The result is a sweet earthy tangy citrus flavour. Full-bodied and dark, its earthy flavour gets stronger, thicker and more sweet the longer you brew it.

Beau Lay is a black tea. This type of tea is different from what is known as black tea in English, which in Chinese is called hóngchá, red tea.

These beautiful little orange beau lay teas not only taste good but are a rich source of antioxidants. This cleansing tea aids in digestion, contains anti-inflammatory properties and lowers cholesterol.

The tea does contain caffeine however its caffeine content is low (less than 10% of a cup of coffee).
